Function: Student Researcher - Chemistry Major
Research: I am currently working on three different projects; Keck Foundation project, Varroa mite capsule project, and Drone heat-stress project. In the Keck Project, I help run experiments with different chemical compounds to analyze and better understand bee behavior under stress between two different genotypes. Along with running experiments, I assist with some project planning and with training fellow undergrads. In the past year, I have assisted with a project involving Varroa mites in host-parasite interactions with honey bees. I enjoy assisting CIBER team members both in the lab and in the field getting hands on experience working with bees.
