Function: Assistant professor
Research: Dr. Park is an assistant professor at the Department of Entomology, University of California, Riverside. At the Insect Sensory and Behavioral Ecology Laboratory (ISABEL), his team develops healthy insects for field release and studies how weed biological control agents locate their host plants in quarantine facilities and field sites. ISABEL's main focus by 2030 is to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 15. This goal aims to “protect, restore, and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, and biodiversity loss.” If you want to learn more about this goal, please email Dr. Park at ikju.park@ucr.edu.
