Name: Prof. Ashok Mulchandani
Research: I am an internationally recognized leader in design and development of bio/chemical sensors for environmental (air and water) monitoring, food quality control, health care and chemical and biological warfare agents detection. I am currently a member of CIBER and work with multiple members on design, development and characterization of chemical sensors for real-time quantitative detection of volatiles in beehives linked to parasite infections and environmental stressors. In future, I plan to continue development of sensors for additional volatiles identified by Profs. Baer and Mauck group and work with Prof. Kim on integration of these sensors in EBeeVet platform.
