Name: Alberto Soto

Role: Program Manager, Living Lab Initiative and Professional Staff in the BCOE Dean's Office

Bio: Dr. Alberto Soto is the Program Manager for the UCR Living Lab Initiative and a Research and Development Strategist in the Bourns College of Engineering. Alberto’s academic background is highly interdisciplinary and he has served as a research mentor for 12 student researchers working at the intersection of biology, engineering, and computer science. In grad school, he studied the movement of fish as they hunt for prey. Alberto has cooked thousands of meals at home, attended many concerts at the Glasshouse, and once rode a donkey up a hill to tend a calf.
