I provide my biophysics expertise to develop and deploy novel and bee specific sensors as part of an activity of setting up a smart bee hive to continuously monitor and measure key health parameters of honeybee colonies. More specifically, I am interested in the sound, electrical and chemical signals emitted by the bees and how to monitor them in real time. I participate in both the design of the sensors, the implementation of the sensors in the beehive and the analysis of the acquired data. In the long term these bee specific sensors can be added to the EBeeVET platform that is currently developed at CIBER.
