I focus on the joint development and integration of advanced sensors within a smart bee hive, aimed at continuously monitoring and evaluating the well-being of the bee population. This innovative research involves the real-time monitoring of a spectrum of signals emitted by the bees, including sound, electrical impulses, and chemical markers. I investigate every aspect of this initiative, from the conceptualization and design of the sensors to their integration within the hive infrastructure. Additionally, our involvement extends to the comprehensive analysis of the data obtained from these sensors, allowing us to obtain valuable insights into the health and behaviour of the bee colony, addressing key questions such as decoding the complexity of the honey bee language.
